Recurring patterns
Unclear rubric or assessor expectations causing rework
Evaluators inconsistently apply the rubric or misreview submissions, resulting in incorrect missing-item feedback and contradictory instructions.
He just told me to put labels to describe the nav, etc era so I submitted this and he still rejected it. I’m guessing he wants it blank?
[My first submission was returned stating there are no pictures, no justification for changes and no student submission form. Which is absolutely insane considering: each page starts with a image of the city with its name on it, there are no changes to my task 1 outlines and this was stated in my submission notes in accordance with the rubric and you would have had to get the student submission form to even view the website]
Unresponsive instructor or lack of escalation path
Provided instructional/support resources (tutors/instructors) are unreliable or fail to show up, leaving students without expected help.
[...] I have just had my 5th attempt to get instructor help flaked on. Every time I reach out to one of our provided resources it just makes me feel worse.
[I turned in D277(Front-end Web Development) three days ago and received a message saying I would know if I passed or failed by today. PA still on submitted status. All other PA’s have been evaluated by given 3 day timeframe. Are evaluators off because of Memorial Day weekend or can it take longer than estimated date?]
Third‑party tool bugs and dependency risks
Required/encouraged external hosting services are unreliable or behave inconsistently, causing hosted submissions to stop rendering assets after submission.
Problem #1 Hosting: After completing the requirements trying to use the hosting services they want you to use is garbage. Was able to get my submission working on infinity free and everything worked, 3 days later it isn’t rendering my css file.
Platform, CI, or deployment failures
Course commit → pipeline → deployment process or its instructions are failing, so student commits do not publish and pages show stale content.
“I am having an issue with literally very pipeline failing after i commit in VSCode. I’m doing it exactly as I did in the instructions for the test commit, but it fails. When I click to view the webpage it still shows ‘Test1’ when I have long since deleted that and there is new content in the page.”
Unclear or ambiguous instructions and questions
Assignment wording is ambiguous about scope (e.g., what 'all pages from part A' includes), causing confusion about required pages and elements.
What pages do I do these requirements for? I'm assuming it means the capital city and 2 noncapital city pages, but then what about the intro page and the form page?... "Include the following elements in *all* pages from part A: ..."
