Assessment materials misaligned with learning activities

Objective Assessment (OA) misalignment: OA questions are worded differently, more confusing, or cover content not present in course materials or pre-assessments

  • I got exemplary on the Pre assessment but the OA is different in my opinion. The OA is more wordy and confusing... I don’t have an issue with the material but the questions feel horrible.

  • The wording of the test is beyond ridiculous and there were about 8-10 questions that did not cover any of the content at all. It’s a very weirdly formatted exam...

Proctoring rules and exam platform burdens

Proctoring/platform error causing exams to terminate or redirect (survey) mid-test with no score or review options

  • ["The exam redirected to a 'survey' about half way through. The proctor sent a message saying the exam was finished? I didn’t get any score or confirmation of a pass or fail ... I had questions bookmarked to go back and review!"]

Unclear or ambiguous instructions and questions

Excessive use of unexplained acronyms/abbreviations in materials and assessments making questions unclear

  • […] there’s so many dang acronyms it’s actually ridiculous. Like why not just write out the names instead got me over here confused af I think they know that the names give the answer so they resort to acronyms that are similar to fuck us over.
